We love Alberta. It is a wonderful province. Rebecca lives in a beautiful older neighborhood with a great walking path within minutes of her tree-lined street. We had a delicious breakfast of crepes at a place right down the street from where she lives, and then we went to what I consider the world’s greatest bakery and pastry shop. I have never seen anything like it in my travels! It looked like a scene from the Land of Sweets in the Nutcracker. I think it was called “The Duchess” and it was absolutely packed with people indulging themselves in the most delectable treats. We followed suit.

The ride to Banff was about five hours. Rebecca drove for half of it and then Larry took over- he got the rain and bad weather end of it. It was very heavy and we despaired for the poor folks in Calgary getting more precipitation.

By the time we arrived in Banff the weather had cleared and we got into our hotel room. We are here for two nights and are sharing a suite together. We are enjoying having lots of space!
